" - This landmass had long since become over grown by dense forestry, a lawless land to where the only law is that of the jungle. Survival of the fittest. It is a land where criminals and monsters escape to. Through out the dense forests are various tribal camps of orcs, trolls, ogres, and lower ranking demons who linger upon the material plane. At the center of this forest rests a once grand keep now in ruins ravaged not only by an ancient war some thousands of years ago, but by time. While the outlines of many buildings and houses can be found few would consider them safe enough to rest the night in. A single temple had recently been reconstructed for it was in the best condition. This temple of a long forgotten and dead god stands with a new roof and repaired walls though who had restored the desecrated building from it's fate remains unknown with out further investigation. The corpses of orcs who tried to take over this rebuilt temple remain pinned to the trees by spikes of eternal unmelting ice in a perimeter of one hundred feet away and around the temple, this unsafe haven."

As you wander the dense and unrivaled forests of Tel'ranoi you may be lucky to come across a single magnificent portal upon a small pathway, next to a crystalline river. Once through the portal, you would spy a small clearing ahead of you, which is surrounded by thick, ancient trees. Carefully look in the distance. There appears to be structural hints of time-worn buildings overgrown with nature's touches. Then the Temple of Ruin would catch your eye. Recently constructed by some unknown entity, it's grandeur is not of typical wealth, but of Old Gods and primal ritualistic ideals.

There are signs of life if you care to cast you eyes further along the tree line. Figures of militant gait coming and going from the Temple. There are also Magi-knights situated at the stepped-entrance to the Temple itself. There is also a clear walkway been trodden towards a wide path into the forest which eventually leads to a large-sized village. This area is known as the Village of Nuduin which is the closest hub of trade and activity and houses a good population of Xenthe. Widely established and offering a wide range of amenities such as; functioning mercenary hall/ barracks, bath house, market place, tavern and inns. Further afield the Capital of Xenthe to the north is the main trade center and the safest place in Xenthe. It's vastness can accommodate tens of thousands and is the central point for visiting dignitaries, ambassadors alike.

It is up to your character where they tread next. (See below for more in-depth information or 'active locations' for more areas)

A vast and unforgiving territory in the Eastern heart of Tel'ranoi.
Blanketed by the most luscious and dense of forests and jungles, the realm of Xenthe is a dangerous and often lethal place to traverse. It's monarchy consists of two ruling bodies. Two creatures whom claim the land and yet allow it to continue in its harsh wilderness laws.
'The Faceless King', also known as Veriden, is the unknown entity which holds a strict yet respectful grasp upon all whom dwell within the challenging territory of Xenthe and resides in the Temple Of Ruin.  The nickname refers to the constant masked visage of his unknown countenance, careful as he is to remain hidden and the true identity of the King of Ruin is kept a safely guarded mystery. After all, only a select few have been granted the honor of spying his true facial features....

Every King must have his Queen, they say.
They speak of a pale, beautiful monster whom whispers of chaos and death in her King's ear. One whom is his greatest ally. For there are not many who could be trusted in the realm of Xenthe, but the Queen could certainly be trusted in one thing. Controlled Chaos. She would not tame the wilds of her home, she would embrace the brutal natures of the land.
The monster-parasite whom had been claimed in a passionate fury of the King's desires.
This Queen is the infamous Kestrel De Courtesz.

Government: Seemingly an organized version of the law of the jungle. If one wishes to advance they must better the one they wish to over come personally, other than that what the ruling parties say goes.

Religion: There are no restrictions, nor unified beliefs

Climate: Typically on the cold side of things. Ranging from 40F to 70F in the summer, day long showers and storms are not uncommon. This chilly temperate zone truly tests the unprepared in the colder months.

Population:  There are a number of various cultures with in Xenthe that keep their own sections of land but are at a current stand still and non-aggression treaty due to the recent event of the Faceless King over throwing all three major orc clans by destroying their leaders in one on one combat. These fights were brutal and long. Where the Faceless one typically employed agility and cunning, he was forced to fight through means of raw strength and skill. Least the other members of the clans see the elf for what he was, not one of them. Remaining unmasked in each of the three fights. The first war-chief to fall was that of the Nightclaw clan. These darker skinned orcs number in the five hundred range, with a good number of shaman and human slaves in addition to their numbers. Of the military strength of these orcs that were forced by word of challenge to bend knee to the Faceless Demon that was Veriden. They were the mightiest of the three primary clans.

The other clans of Skullcrusher and and Bloodfang were smaller each nearly four hundred strong were far more civilized by their locations near the borders of the realm and their trades outside of Xenthe. This advantageous conquest left the King with loyal subjects due to how brutal he had fought earning the prideful orcs respect by the sheer primal strength his smaller frame possessed, and his attacking of the Nightclaw clan first proved his potency and courage. With every orc knowing they could at any time challenge the king, none to date were brave enough to try.

This brings us to the those nearest the temple. Since his crowning, the faceless one had been gathering allies, luring unique souls to his purpose first before establishing a working population of humans and elves from the city of Tel'ranoi. These people were of families that would go unnoticed such as the poor and criminals. Given a precious second chance and a stable form of income, it was not difficult for them to agree to swear their fealty to this masked figure. These souls now build homes near the temple and entrance to a stone quarry along with the two mines the king had cleared out of rotting undead and trolls. One iron mine, one gold mine. Surely their were other mines for minerals in the land of Xenthe but one thing at a time.

Xenthe now has a population workforce of over a million souls of predominately Human or Elven origin. Recently there has been a small population of Dwarves settling in to Xenthe to sell their wares and talents in the weapon forge. The military force has grown since the restablishment of the Village of Nuduin to an impressive 80,000 souls. A selection of both seasoned and freshly recruited melee warriors, mages and ranged snipers/archers.

As the Village of Nuduin is becoming fast over-crowded and living space is limited, a new village has been established in the Fields of Qual Fara, which lies on the Nothern-westerly most point in Xenthe's borders. Currently the North of Xenthe has now been cleared of the Dragon threat and the Capital has been fully restored to it's past glory. It is the main hub for trade and commence for the city as well as where the House of Senates and ambassadors recide.
